US Number of Total Arrests By Population Group for Vagrancy Offenses in 2022

According to the FBI UCR data, in 2022, there were 12,673 total arrests made in the US for vagrancy offenses. There were 10,000 total arrests made in All Cities; 2,139 total arrests made in Metropolitan Counties; 534 total arrests made in Nonmetropolitan Counties; and 3,640 total arrests made in Suburban Areas.

In terms of rate of arrests per 100K inhabitants, Group VI - Cities had the highest (13.9), followed by Group II - Cities (8), and Total Cities (5.5).

  5. Group V - Cities: Cities with a population of 10,000 to 24,999.
  6. Group VI - Cities: Cities with a population under 10,000.
