US Number of Total Arrests By Population Group for Vagrancy Offenses in 2024

According to the FBI UCR data, in 2024, there were 21,655 total arrests made in the US for vagrancy offenses. There were 18,332 total arrests made in All Cities; 2,619 total arrests made in Metropolitan Counties; 704 total arrests made in Nonmetropolitan Counties; and 5,530 total arrests made in Suburban Areas.

In terms of rate of arrests per 100K inhabitants, Group VI - Cities had the highest (15.7), followed by Group II - Cities (12.3), and Group I - Cities (12.2).

  5. Group V - Cities: Cities with a population of 10,000 to 24,999.
  6. Group VI - Cities: Cities with a population under 10,000.
