According to the FBI UCR data, in 2023, there were 19,854 juvenile arrests made in US nonmetropolitan counties for all offenses.
By Race: The highest number of those arrested were identified as White (15.38K), followed by Black or African American (3.54K), and American Indian or Alaska Native (670).
By Ethnicity: Ethnicity information was reported for 16,031 (81%) of those arrested. Among those for whom ethnicity was reported, the highest number were identified as Not Hispanic or Latino (14.31K), followed by Hispanic or Latino (1.72K).
