According to the FBI UCR data, in 2024, there were 82,235 total arrests made in US metropolitan counties for larceny theft offenses.

By Race: The highest number of those arrested were identified as White (48.98K), followed by Black or African American (31.22K), and Asian (1.43K).

By Ethnicity: Ethnicity information was reported for 70,636 (86%) of those arrested. Among those for whom ethnicity was reported, the highest number were identified as Not Hispanic or Latino (58.57K), followed by Hispanic or Latino (12.06K).
