According to the FBI UCR data, in 2024, there were 57,758 total arrests made in US metropolitan counties for violent crime offenses.

By Race: The highest number of those arrested were identified as White (34.92K), followed by Black or African American (21.48K), and Asian (771).

By Ethnicity: Ethnicity information was reported for 49,955 (86%) of those arrested. Among those for whom ethnicity was reported, the highest number were identified as Not Hispanic or Latino (40.77K), followed by Hispanic or Latino (9.19K).
