According to the FBI UCR data, in 2022, there were 62,171 total arrests made in US metropolitan counties for violent crime offenses.

By Race: The highest number of those arrested were identified as White (40.08K), followed by Black or African American (20.58K), and Asian (894).

By Ethnicity: Ethnicity information was reported for 55,860 (90%) of those arrested. Among those for whom ethnicity was reported, the highest number were identified as Not Hispanic or Latino (42.93K), followed by Hispanic or Latino (12.93K).
