United States Hate Crime Offenses By Crime Type in 1993
According to the FBI UCR data, in 1993, there were 9,509 Hate Crime Offenses in the US. Intimidation was the highest type of hate crime committed (3,110), and constituted 32.71% of the total number of offenses. The second highest hate crime offense committed was Destruction/Damage/Vandalism of Property (2,536), constituting 26.67% of the total. The third highest hate crime offense commited was Simple Assault (1,808), constituting 19.01% of the total.
