United States Hate Crime Offenses By Crime Type in 2021
According to the FBI UCR data, in 2021, there were 13,540 Hate Crime Offenses in the US. Intimidation was the highest type of hate crime committed (3,959), and constituted 29.24% of the total number of offenses. The second highest hate crime offense committed was Simple Assault (3,096), constituting 22.87% of the total. The third highest hate crime offense commited was Destruction/Damage/Vandalism of Property (3,013), constituting 22.25% of the total.
