United States Hate Crime Offenses By Crime Type in 2022
According to the FBI UCR data, in 2022, there were 14,478 Hate Crime Offenses in the US. Intimidation was the highest type of hate crime committed (4,403), and constituted 30.41% of the total number of offenses. The second highest hate crime offense committed was Destruction/Damage/Vandalism of Property (3,411), constituting 23.56% of the total. The third highest hate crime offense commited was Simple Assault (3,294), constituting 22.75% of the total.
