United States Hate Crime Offenses By Crime Type in 2010
According to the FBI UCR data, in 2010, there were 8,228 Hate Crime Offenses in the US. Destruction/Damage/Vandalism of Property was the highest type of hate crime committed (2,623), and constituted 31.88% of the total number of offenses. The second highest hate crime offense committed was Intimidation (2,265), constituting 27.53% of the total. The third highest hate crime offense commited was Simple Assault (1,732), constituting 21.05% of the total.
