United States Hate Crime Offenses By Crime Type in 2013
According to the FBI UCR data, in 2013, there were 7,563 Hate Crime Offenses in the US. Destruction/Damage/Vandalism of Property was the highest type of hate crime committed (2,084), and constituted 27.56% of the total number of offenses. The second highest hate crime offense committed was Intimidation (1,992), constituting 26.34% of the total. The third highest hate crime offense commited was Simple Assault (1,802), constituting 23.83% of the total.
