United States Hate Crime Offenses By Crime Type in 2014
According to the FBI UCR data, in 2014, there were 7,053 Hate Crime Offenses in the US. Destruction/Damage/Vandalism of Property was the highest type of hate crime committed (1,925), and constituted 27.29% of the total number of offenses. The second highest hate crime offense committed was Intimidation (1,797), constituting 25.48% of the total. The third highest hate crime offense commited was Simple Assault (1,627), constituting 23.07% of the total.
