Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2011, the citizen population for Washington was 6,177,710 and represented 92.86% of the total Washington population.

Among all Washington counties, King had the highest citizen population (1.71M), followed by Pierce (755.59K), and Snohomish (653.76K).

In terms of percentages, Asotin had the highest percentage of its population being citizens (99.23%), followed by Jefferson (98.81%), and Wahkiakum (98.62%).
