Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2021, the citizen population for Washington was 7,040,095 and represented 92.42% of the total Washington population.

Among all Washington counties, King had the highest citizen population (1.96M), followed by Pierce (870.63K), and Snohomish (752.78K).
