Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2022, the citizen population for Washington was 7,097,800 and represented 92.32% of the total Washington population.

Among all Washington counties, King had the highest citizen population (1.96M), followed by Pierce (878.27K), and Snohomish (757.73K).
