Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2011, the Non-Hispanic Black Alone citizen population for Alabama was 1,234,325 and represented 26.64% of the total Alabama citizen population.

Among all Alabama counties, Jefferson had the highest Non-Hispanic Black Alone citizen population (273.99K), followed by Mobile (141.53K), and Montgomery (123.17K).

In terms of percentages, Macon had the highest percentage of its citizen population being Non-Hispanic Black Alone (81.96%), followed by Greene (81.68%), and Sumter (73.90%).
