Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2011, the Non-Hispanic Black Alone citizen voting-age population for Tennessee was 889,640 and represented 19.19% of the total Tennessee citizen voting-age population.

Among all Tennessee counties, Shelby had the highest Non-Hispanic Black Alone citizen voting-age population (331.05K), followed by Davidson (119.96K), and Hamilton (48.11K).

In terms of percentages, Shelby had the highest percentage of its citizen voting-age population being Non-Hispanic Black Alone (51.28%), followed by Haywood (49.55%), and Hardeman (39.58%).
