Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2012, the citizen voting-age population for Massachusetts was 4,698,980 and represented 71.62% of the total Massachusetts population.

Among all Massachusetts counties, Middlesex had the highest citizen voting-age population (1.05M), followed by Worcester (572.06K), and Essex (524.29K).
