Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2012, the citizen voting-age population for South Carolina was 3,417,900 and represented 73.82% of the total South Carolina population.

Among all South Carolina counties, Greenville had the highest citizen voting-age population (320.81K), followed by Richland (285.63K), and Charleston (267.92K).

In terms of percentages, McCormick had the highest percentage of its population being citizens of voting-age (85.50%), followed by Pickens (77.25%), and Bamberg (77.20%).
