Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2013, the Non-Hispanic Black Alone citizen population for West Virginia was 1,251,565 and represented 68.04% of the total West Virginia citizen population.

Among all West Virginia counties, Berkeley had the highest Non-Hispanic Black Alone citizen population (7.42K), followed by Kanawha (7.36K), and Raleigh (6.39K).
