Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2013, the US Non-Hispanic Black or African American Alone citizen population was 36,769,010 and represented 12.71% of the total US citizen population.

Among all US states and DC, Georgia had the highest Non-Hispanic Black Alone citizen population (2.91M), followed by Texas (2.88M), and Florida (2.68M).

In terms of percentages, District of Columbia had the highest percentage of its citizen population being Non-Hispanic Black Alone (52.26%), followed by Mississippi (37.57%), and Louisiana (32.52%).
