Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2013, the Non-Hispanic Black Alone citizen voting-age population for North Carolina was 913,605 and represented 13.20% of the total North Carolina citizen voting-age population.

Among all North Carolina counties, Mecklenburg had the highest Non-Hispanic Black Alone citizen voting-age population (202.22K), followed by Wake (132.29K), and Guilford (115.83K).

In terms of percentages, Bertie had the highest percentage of its citizen voting-age population being Non-Hispanic Black Alone (61.59%), followed by Hertford (58.62%), and Edgecombe (56.89%).
