Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2016, the Non-Hispanic Black Alone citizen population for Alabama was 1,271,600 and represented 26.86% of the total Alabama citizen population.

Among all Alabama counties, Jefferson had the highest Non-Hispanic Black Alone citizen population (278.56K), followed by Mobile (145.85K), and Montgomery (128.34K).

In terms of percentages, Macon had the highest percentage of its citizen population being Non-Hispanic Black Alone (82.21%), followed by Greene (81.31%), and Bullock (75.31%).
