Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2017, the Non-Hispanic Black Alone citizen population for Alabama was 1,276,885 and represented 26.91% of the total Alabama citizen population.

Among all Alabama counties, Jefferson had the highest Non-Hispanic Black Alone citizen population (279.26K), followed by Mobile (146.14K), and Montgomery (129.16K).

In terms of percentages, Macon had the highest percentage of its citizen population being Non-Hispanic Black Alone (82.15%), followed by Greene (80.54%), and Bullock (75.39%).
