Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2017, the Non-Hispanic Black Alone citizen voting-age population for North Carolina was 952,790 and represented 13.03% of the total North Carolina citizen voting-age population.

Among all North Carolina counties, Mecklenburg had the highest Non-Hispanic Black Alone citizen voting-age population (227.92K), followed by Wake (147.85K), and Guilford (126.36K).

In terms of percentages, Bertie had the highest percentage of its citizen voting-age population being Non-Hispanic Black Alone (61.26%), followed by Hertford (58.62%), and Edgecombe (58.10%).
