Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2017, the Non-Hispanic Black Alone citizen voting-age population for Tennessee was 952,790 and represented 19.38% of the total Tennessee citizen voting-age population.

Among all Tennessee counties, Shelby had the highest Non-Hispanic Black Alone citizen voting-age population (357.96K), followed by Davidson (134.37K), and Hamilton (51.34K).

In terms of percentages, Shelby had the highest percentage of its citizen voting-age population being Non-Hispanic Black Alone (53.79%), followed by Haywood (49.78%), and Hardeman (40.74%).
