Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2018, the Non-Hispanic Black Alone citizen voting-age population for Tennessee was 960,075 and represented 19.34% of the total Tennessee citizen voting-age population.

Among all Tennessee counties, Shelby had the highest Non-Hispanic Black Alone citizen voting-age population (360.46K), followed by Davidson (135.74K), and Hamilton (51.61K).

In terms of percentages, Shelby had the highest percentage of its citizen voting-age population being Non-Hispanic Black Alone (54.18%), followed by Haywood (50.09%), and Hardeman (40.77%).
