Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2020, the US citizen population was 304,900,365 and represented 93.37% of the total US population.

Among all US states and DC, California had the highest citizen population (34.42M), followed by Texas (25.70M), and Florida (19.33M).

In terms of percentages, West Virginia had the highest percentage of its population being citizens (99.19%), followed by Montana (99.07%), and Mississippi (98.65%).
