Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2021, the citizen population for Rhode Island was 1,024,310 and represented 93.81% of the total Rhode Island population.

Among all Rhode Island counties, Providence had the highest citizen population (599.65K), followed by Kent (164.47K), and Washington (127.23K).
