Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2021, the District of Columbia citizen population was 633.98K. The Non-Hispanic Black or African American Alone ethnicity group had the highest citizen population (293.93K) and constituted 46.36% of the total. The Non-Hispanic White Alone ethnicity group had the second highest citizen population (242.80K) and constituted 38.30% of the total. The Hispanic or Latino of All Races ethnicity group had the third highest (56.05K), constituting 8.84% of the total citizen population.
