Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2021, the North Carolina citizen voting-age population was 7.62M. The Non-Hispanic White Alone ethnicity group had the highest citizen voting-age population (5.24M) and constituted 68.78% of the total. The Non-Hispanic Black or African American Alone ethnicity group had the second highest citizen voting-age population (1.64M) and constituted 21.57% of the total. The Hispanic or Latino of All Races ethnicity group had the third highest (360.96K), constituting 4.74% of the total citizen voting-age population.
