Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2022, the Non-Hispanic Black Alone citizen population for Iowa was 1,317,960 and represented 42.67% of the total Iowa citizen population.

Among all Iowa counties, Polk had the highest Non-Hispanic Black Alone citizen population (30.66K), followed by Scott (11.84K), and Black Hawk (11.52K).

In terms of percentages, Black Hawk had the highest percentage of its citizen population being Non-Hispanic Black Alone (9.11%), followed by Scott (6.94%), and Polk (6.55%).
