Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2023, the citizen population for Hawaii was 1,342,420 and represented 92.86% of the total Hawaii population.

Among all Hawaii counties, Honolulu had the highest citizen population (930.31K), followed by Hawaii (191.38K), and Maui (152.04K).

In terms of percentages, Hawaii had the highest percentage of its population being citizens (93.96%), followed by Kauai (93.28%), and Honolulu (92.69%).
