Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2024, the citizen population for Kentucky was 4,408,753 and represented 97.22% of the total Kentucky population.

Among all Kentucky counties, Jefferson had the highest citizen population (736.71K), followed by Fayette (298.90K), and Kenton (166.85K).

In terms of percentages, Menifee had the highest percentage of its population being citizens (100.13%), followed by Lawrence (100.01%), and Leslie (100.01%).
