Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2024, the Non-Hispanic Black Alone citizen population for Connecticut was 1,303,064 and represented 38.68% of the total Connecticut citizen population.

Among all Connecticut counties, Capitol Planning Region had the highest Non-Hispanic Black Alone citizen population (103.97K), followed by South Central Connecticut Planning Region (72.55K), and Western Connecticut Planning Region (54.96K).

In terms of percentages, South Central Connecticut Planning Region had the highest percentage of its citizen population being Non-Hispanic Black Alone (13.60%), followed by Greater Bridgeport Planning Region (11.67%), and Capitol Planning Region (11.34%).
