According to the US Census Bureau Vintage data estimates, in 2011, the birth rate for Michigan was 11.54. Kent County had the highest birth rate (14.29), followed by St. Joseph County (13.78), and Wexford County (13.55). On the other hand, Ontonagon County had the lowest birth rate (5.52), followed by Alger County (5.55), and Alcona County (5.55).
