According to the US Census Bureau Vintage data estimates, in 2012, the birth rate for Ohio was 11.92. Holmes County had the highest birth rate (18.43), followed by Franklin County (15.23), and Hamilton County (13.81). On the other hand, Carroll County had the lowest birth rate (8.47), followed by Portage County (8.55), and Athens County (8.74).
