According to the US Census Bureau Vintage data estimates, in 2017, the birth rate for Ohio was 11.73. Holmes County had the highest birth rate (16), followed by Franklin County (14.62), and Mercer County (14.08) On the other hand, Ottawa County had the lowest birth rate (7.56), followed by Athens County (7.75), and Monroe County (8.27).
