According to the US Census Bureau estimates, in 2011, the number of births for Massachusetts was 73,187. Middlesex County had the highest number of births (17,637), followed by Suffolk County (9,696), and Worcester County (8,805) On the other hand, Nantucket County had the lowest number of births (134), followed by Dukes County (174), and Franklin County (635).
