Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2016, the Black or African American Alone population in Utah was 41,089 and represented 1.35% of the total Utah population (3,044,241).

Among Utah counties, Salt Lake County had the highest number of people who identified as Black or African American Alone (22,647), followed by Davis County (4,662), and Utah County (4,315). Wayne County had the lowest (4).
