According to the data from the US 2020 decennial Census, as at April 2020, there were 227,150 people who identified as Hispanic - Black or African American Alone in New York, which was 1.12% of the total New York population.

Bronx County had the highest number of people who identified as Hispanic - Black or African American Alone (67,725), followed by Kings County (42,354), and New York County (29,769). On the other hand, the three counties with the least number of people who identified as Hispanic - Black or African American Alone were: Hamilton County (1), Lewis County (6), and Schuyler County (10).

When it comes to the percentage of each county's population that identify as Hispanic - Black or African American Alone, Bronx County had the highest percentage (4.60%), followed by New York County (1.76%), and Kings County (1.55%).
