According to the data from the US 2020 decennial Census, as at April 2020, there were 449,884 people who identified as Non-Hispanic - Black or African American Alone in Arkansas, which was 14.94% of the total Arkansas population.

Pulaski County had the highest number of people who identified as Non-Hispanic - Black or African American Alone (142,139), followed by Jefferson County (37,712), and Crittenden County (25,804).
