According to the data from the US 2020 decennial Census, as at April 2020, there were 637,500 people who identified as Non-Hispanic - Black or African American Alone in Indiana, which was 9.40% of the total Indiana population.

Marion County had the highest number of people who identified as Non-Hispanic - Black or African American Alone (265,659), followed by Lake County (121,048), and Allen County (43,629). On the other hand, the three counties with the least number of people who identified as Non-Hispanic - Black or African American Alone were: Warren County (7), Switzerland County (14), and Ohio County (16).

When it comes to the percentage of each county's population that identify as Non-Hispanic - Black or African American Alone, Marion County had the highest percentage (27.19%), followed by Lake County (24.27%), and St. Joseph County (12.98%).
