According to the data from the US 2020 decennial Census, as at April 2020, the voting-age population of people who identified as Non-Hispanic - Black or African American Alone in California was 1,694,380; and represented 5.50% of the total California voting-age population.

Los Angeles County had the highest number of people who identified as Non-Hispanic - Black or African American Alone (620,048), followed by Alameda County (131,210), and San Bernardino County (131,069). On the other hand, the three counties with low Non-Hispanic - Black or African American Alone voting-age population were: Sierra County (3), Alpine County (9), and Modoc County (47).

When it comes to the percentage of each county's voting-age population that identified as Non-Hispanic - Black or African American Alone, Solano County had the highest percentage (13.61%), followed by Alameda County (9.80%), and Sacramento County (9.14%).
