According to the data from the US 2020 decennial Census, as at April 2020, the voting-age population of people who identified as Non-Hispanic - Black or African American Alone in West Virginia was 52,002; and represented 3.63% of the total West Virginia voting-age population.

Kanawha County had the highest number of people who identified as Non-Hispanic - Black or African American Alone (10,419), followed by Berkeley County (7,032), and Raleigh County (4,728). On the other hand, the three counties with low Non-Hispanic - Black or African American Alone voting-age population were: Wirt County (0), Tyler County (1), and Tucker County (4).

When it comes to the percentage of each county's voting-age population that identified as Non-Hispanic - Black or African American Alone, Gilmer County had the highest percentage (14.69%), followed by McDowell County (12.08%), and Raleigh County (8.00%).
