According to the data from the US 2020 decennial Census, as at April 2020, there were 1,335,750 people (of all racial backgrounds) who identified as Non-Hispanic (not hispanic or latino) in Maine, which was 98.05% of the total population of Maine.

Cumberland County had the highest number of of people who identified as non-hispanic (295.06K), followed by York County (207.88K), and Penobscot County (149.48K). On the other hand, the three counties with low number of people who identified as non-hispanic were: Piscataquis County (16.54K), Franklin County (29.05K), and Washington County (30.43K).
