According to the data from the US 2020 decennial Census, as at April 2020, there were 1,758,889 people (of all racial backgrounds) who identified as Non-Hispanic (not hispanic or latino) in West Virginia, which was 98.06% of the total population of West Virginia.

Kanawha County had the highest number of of people who identified as non-hispanic (178.03K), followed by Berkeley County (115.18K), and Monongalia County (102.51K). On the other hand, the three counties with low number of people who identified as non-hispanic were: Wirt County (5.17K), Pendleton County (6.09K), and Calhoun County (6.18K).
