According to the data from the US 2020 decennial Census, in April 2020, there were 121,468 people in Washington who identified their race as American Indian and Alaska Native Alone, which is 1.58% of the total population of Washington. King County had the highest number of people who identify as American Indian and Alaska Native Alone (19,073), followed by Yakima County (12,979), and Pierce County (12,777). On the other hand, the three counties with the least number of people who identify as American Indian and Alaska Native Alone were: Garfield County (18), Columbia County (50), and Wahkiakum County (61).

In terms of the percentage of each county's total population, Ferry County had the highest percentage, with 18.24% of its population identifying their race as American Indian and Alaska Native Alone, followed by Okanogan County (11.59%), and Stevens County (5.77%).
