According to the data from the United States 2020 decennial Census, as at April 2020, among all of Tennessee's cities and places, Memphis city had the highest number of voting-age population who identified their race as Black or African American Alone (288.40K), followed by Nashville-Davidson metropolitan government (balance) (128.18K), and Chattanooga city (39.71K).
