According to the data from the United States 2020 decennial Census for North Carolina counties, in April 2020, among all of North Carolina's cities and places with a voting-age population of at least 10K, Kinston city had the highest percentage of its voting-age population that identified their race as Black or African American Alone (67.01%), followed by Henderson city (63.29%), and Rocky Mount city (61.81%).
